Esteemed Bishops, pastors and Apostolic Assembly brethren: ¡paz de Cristo! Please keep our congregations and people of Puerto Rico in your prayers and send your love offerings to help them, to our Headquarters. This is the last report from Bishop Steve Moran:
Here is the latest notice from our brothers in Puerto Rico. There is no electricity in all the island including none for our brethren. there is no water in many places neither for drinking or for bathing. There is scarcity of food and gasoline. Today one sister shared that she with her 4 children had gone to get water but when she went there none was to be found. No one has showered there for 7 days. She went to her house not knowing what to do when a man showed up giving her some milk, cookies and some other food(surely an angel as the Lord takes care of his own). This is the fruit of the fasting and prayers of everyone. Brother Rosado says that there a lives of 300 cars waiting for gas only to receive a gallon a piece. Bro Chan says that he was finally able to come down from the mountain where he lives but has not been able to find water or food. With the desperation the people have begun to steal food from the stores. The people are becoming agitated and desperate. Thank God that a few brethren were able to meet this past Sunday to celebrate a service of thanksgiving that God had kept them with live and health.
We are waiting for permission to go and distribute food and generators but our flights have been changed now 3 times. We pray that on Sunday we can finally go.
