“DORCAS” is the women’s confederation branch of the Apostolic Assembly. The Apostolic Women sponsor the “Flor Azul Project” which raises funds to support our Foreign and National Missions programs. Currently, we have 39 missionaries around the world that are sustained by the diligent work of the local women’s chapters throughout the Unites States.

Sister Vasquez was born in McFarland, California. She accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior and was baptized at the tender age of 10 by Pastor Florencio Aguilar in Earlimart, California.
Her husband of 38 years, Pastor Jose M. Vasquez, is Senior Pastor at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle (AFT) in Chicago where, by the grace of God, they have served the beautiful congregation since December 2007 after serving the Fourth Church of Chicago since 2002. They are blessed to have one handsome son who is a university student and three beautiful daughters who are university graduates and whose professions bless the AFT community of faith greatly. Her eldest daughter and son-in-law have blessed the family with 2 precious grandsons who bring the family so much laughter and joy.

Her goal and desire are to continue to grow in wisdom and knowledge that she may serve God and serve God’s people alongside her husband and children in a way that is eternally impactful for those with whom they come in contact with regardless of their age, origins, background, context or life experiences.
Sis. Vasquez greatly enjoys spending time quiet time at home with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Dr. Ruth Olvera-Crutchfield
Confederation Ladies Auxiliary Secretary
She is the wife of 26 years to Minister Jason Crutchfield and they have four beautiful children, Ayesha, Jared, Jayden, and James, who are twins. Dr. Crutchfield a bachelor’s degree in Theology, a bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Communications Disorders, a master’s in Communication Disorders Bilingual Bicultural and a Doctorate of Speech Language Pathology. Professionally she is a Tenured Associate Professor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Her father, Pastor Juan Olvera, converted to Christ under the ministry of Evangelist Gilberto Munoz. She was raised in the Apostolic Assembly and is a pastor’s daughter and now a minister’s wife. She was baptized at the age of 13 in July of 1987 and received the gift of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues after a year of being baptized on a Wednesday service when there were few present but God’s presence was powerful in San Juan, TX. Dr. Crutchfield has served in leadership at the local level through the youth department as Federation Treasurer for six years, as general church secretary and as a local president for the Dorcas of Christian Praise Tabernacle in San Juan, Texas. She was elected in August 2017 as president of the Ladies Federation of the South Texas Ladies Federation and continues to serve the South Texas Dorcas. She now rejoices in being able to serve at the national level.
Goals & Joys
Her goal is to continue serving the Lord in the direction that God leads and most importantly continuing winning souls for Christ, walking as a living testimony of a present day Apostolic woman. Her hobbies include singing, reading, writing, exercising, and spending time with her family.
Confederation Ladies Auxiliary Treasurer
She is the wife of 33 years to Brother Pedro Zavala, they reside in Arlington, Texas. They are parents of a daughter, Elizabeth, and son Peter and blessed by the marriage of their daughter with a son, Minister Hector Dominquez. They are blessed with one granddaughter, Merida Olivia.
Sis. Raquel was filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost (during a midweek service) at the age of 10 and baptized by her father, Minister Ricardo Oliveros on April 11, 1982. She has served in leadership at the local level for the Messengers of Peace and with the Dorcas Department at the local level as president, secretary, and treasurer. She has served the ladies of the North Texas District as Federation Secretary and President for over 10 years. Sister Raquel looks forward to continued service unto the Lord and His people.
Goals & Joys
Her goals include growing her knowledge of the Word of God as she pursues her Bachelors in Theology, mentoring and equipping young ladies, and winning souls for the kingdom. Some of Sister Raquel’s favorite things are time with their granddaughter, reading, and traveling.
